As the Lower East Side continues to grow and evolve, the BID overseeing the district has undertaken a robust placemaking strategy to support the area’s community and economic development initiatives. Our team was engaged to activate a series of public spaces with modular street furniture, lighting, and bicycle storage. The first phase implemented at Seward Park and the Division and Canal plaza included a series of nine Jersey barrier benches featuring the work of local artists.
